Berlin State Court rejects all arguments of Hồ Ngọc Thắng against Lê Trung Khoa

Today, April 22, 2021, at 11:30 a.m., the Berlin State Court issued a ruling rejecting the entire content of Ho Ngoc Thang’s petition.

The Berlin State Court will officially issue a written verdict in the near future.

By law, the losing party will have to pay the full costs of the action, including reimbursing the winning party for costs incurred, such as attorneys’ fees, translation fees, etc.

Ho Ngoc Thang, a former employee of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Germany, was fired from this agency in 2017 because he was suspected of being involved in the kidnapping of Trinh Xuan Thanh.

Although living and receiving a salary from a free and democratic German state, Mr. Thang is known for many articles published in the Nhan Dan newspaper – the mouthpiece of the Communist Party of Vietnam, with content to attack the Western democracy and praise the authoritarian Communist regime in Vietnam.

Perhaps because of his enthusiasm for the dictatorship in Hanoi, Mr. Ho Ngoc Thang was awarded many certificates of merit by the Communist Party for his efforts.

The reason for the lawsuit is a series of 3 video clips that Thoibao.de posted on Youtube in 2019. Ho Ngoc Thang said that these 3 video clips were false about him, so he filed a lawsuit in court. These video clips so far are still intact on Youtube, you can watch them:
