Nguyen Trong Nghia orders public opinion shappers to attack people: rebel plot?

In recent days, public opinion workers, led by local propaganda departments, have been possessed by spirits and denounced domestic artists who have performed abroad on stages with yellow flags. This has caused many artists to suffer, forcing them to apologize to the “public” which is actually a “red guard” force led by the party Central Committee’s Commission for Education and Propaganda.

In reality, no “public” would hold a grudge against a flag. For the people, food, clothing, and money are paramount. And under the Communist regime, people are even more afraid of getting involved in politics. Therefore, the accidental appearance of a yellow flag in a music video does not cause people to dig it up and attack.

All websites set up by public opinion workers are in the name of the audience, in the name of “the people.” But they are just lackeys of the government. They are directed to praise the regime and its leaders, etc. to make it appear that the people support the regime and the Party. At the same time, these commentators aggressively attack opposing views against the Party. Regardless of the fact that the officials they praised are later revealed to be corrupt officials, destroying the country’s economy.

On social networks, the public opinion commentators are called “the masses” by the government. The singers and artists who are being denounced are also from that group of “disguised people” while the artists themselves are the real people.

Nguyen Trong Nghia is an Army General, now a member of the Politburo, and is directing campaigns to suppress the people, including suppressing Fulbright University.

Fulbright Vietnam is the result of cooperation between the US and Vietnam in the field of education, especially in the field of Public Policy – the field of study on state administration following the trend of a market economy. The banning of artists related to the yellow flag and the attack on Fulbright University are considered the attitude of Head of the party Central Committee’s Commission for Education and Propaganda Nguyen Trong Nghia.

Currently, the Vietnamese leadership is in a fierce battle, each faction wants to gain support from Beijing. Even the strongest faction, the Hung Yen group led by General Secretary cum State President To Lam, also advocates going to Beijing to seek political support.

It is worth mentioning that the more chaotic the Vietnamese Communist Party is, the more factions want to be taken care of by Beijing. This makes Vietnam more and more dependent on China. Xi Jinping also finds it more convenient to implement policies towards Vietnam.

Nghia is the person promoted by late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. It is highly likely that Nghia will have to leave the Secretariat if he cannot prove that he is useful to Lam. Currently, Nghia directs the party Central Committee’s Commission for Education and Propaganda to ban people and attack Fulbright University, in order to show his pro-China attitude. Thus, the efforts of previous generations of reform-minded leaders, through educational cooperation with the US and the West, were used by Nghia as a tool for his personal political purposes.

Nghia has shown himself to be extremely pro-China, like an arrow shot at two targets. The first purpose is to join the attitude that some officials consider pro-China of General Secretary To Lam, Nghia wants to show that he is a person with the same ideology and aspirations as Lam. The second purpose is to show Beijing that Nghia is also a useful person to Beijing, if given the opportunity.

In the context of not knowing whether he will be used by Lam or discarded, Nghia has made a probing move, to seek political relations in the future.

It is unclear if Lam realizes Nghia’s intentions or not? Those who are trying to please the new General Secretary, and prove themselves useful to China, will sooner or later betray him, if given the opportunity. Lam, who once disguised himself as a loyal subordinate of Trong to find opportunities, will understand better than anyone those with a heart like Nghia.
