The Vietnamese have a saying that “those who often talk about morality are those who act poorly.” It is not natural that society has such a comment. By observing reality from people who talk about morality, and the hidden truths afterwards, Vietnamese people make such comments.
By extension, the same goes for the government, any government that preaches morality to the entire people, that government is a goddamn government. In democratic countries, people do not need to set up a huge propaganda machine, to preach the doctrine to the whole people. They do not bring someone’s moral examples to force people to have to live by this example and have to learn from another example, but they only do one thing, which is to destroy evil and evil. Once the bad is destroyed, prevented from flourishing, then the good will inevitably grow. It’s just that.
Since the early days of taking power, the Communist Party has preached morality. They preached that the Land Reform policy was to bring prosperity to the working class. However, in reality, it played out in a horrifying way. As many as 172,000 people were executed without going through any due process. A lot of wrongdoings in Vietnam in 1953-1956 period when the Land reform occured.
After admitting his mistake, the President Ho Chi Minh wiped his tears with a handkerchief, as if he was “repentant.” So, Uncle Ho is still great, despite those barbaric crimes. This mass murder campaign is blamed by the Communist Party on the local authorities. They propagated that, due to the wrong implementation by local cadres, the Party’s policy was “very humane.” Humanity that allows the execution of people by extremely barbaric methods, after organizing a prosecution, and without going through any legal process. It’s horrible, it’s so inhuman.
Nature is nature, this regime can never be changed. To this day, when corrupt officials are rife with uncountable numbers, the Communist Party still repeats the same old propaganda tone: The Party is not wrong, its policies are very “human,” only subordinates made wrong. And then blame all the blame on the officials who have been exposed, and those who have not been exposed are considered “not wrong“.
The Party is not wrong, but the Party gave birth to a series of wrongdoing officials? Are the policies that brought terrible hunger to the entire population after 1975? Is the subsidized bureaucratic economic model correct?
On July 25, the Cong an Nhan dan newspaper published an article “So that there is no more ‘luck and unluck in revealing corruption’story.” The author writes that: “The painful lesson about taking advantage of the noble and humane policies of the State, trampling on fellow human beings for personal gain.” This is still a moral statement, but how to do it does not need to be analyzed further, because everyone is clear.
In essence, the rescue flight is policy corruption. When the people representing the state at the top make policies that benefit them and their interest groups. Those are the “highest bosses.” Of course, in order to cover up the purpose of profiteering, it is necessary to put on those policies a certain human meaning. The nature of evil people is to talk about morality, because moral words are a veil to hide their dirty plans behind.
In the past, when implementing the Land Reform policy, Ho Chi Minh’s aim was to eliminate the educated and wealthy people. Because at that time, only the children of the rich could get an education, and the poor peasants were illiterate. Educated people were identified as “difficult” to the regime, and Ho ruthlessly dealt with them, and gave it a false “human” connotation.
To do Communist politics is to use “ethical and humane” shirts to cover disgusting actions. With a civilized society, this trick still works. Fortunately, however, not everyone who was indoctrinated under a socialist education was also blinded to believe in the Party. There are still rational voices to expose the Party’s tricks.
