As Vietnam’s communist regime considers guns more important than pen, teachers and students run away!

Low salary, more than ten thousand teachers quit

According to Resolution 70/2022/QH15 of Vietnam’s National Assembly issued on November 11, 2022, the budget for the Ministry of Public Security is VND100 trillion ($4.2 billion) while for the Ministry of Education and Training just VND6.26 ($260 million). That is, spending on police is 16 times higher than on education. It is worth mentioning that, compared to previous years, the police overspending was much larger than the budget for education.

Looking at the budget allocation, it is clear that the Communist Party values the gun more than the pen. No matter how much it destroys the nation’s intellect, the Party doesn’t care as long as it can protect the regime. The police forces must take precedence over the education sector. Stupid people are better, because stupid people are more docile than knowledgeable people.

The stupidization of the people is not to let the people be uneducated, but to infect the people with a tool education, so that people, no matter how highly educated, are still submissive people, not self-righteous people with independent thinking. Imposing such a lousy education will kill human creativity. But for the Party, it doesn’t matter, as long as the people know how to obey, it’s enough, those who are curious and creative, sometimes are “difficult” to the regime.

Because of the importance of guns and trampling on the pen, the Communist Party gave the Ministry of Education a meager budget, and then let the ministry take care of itself. With a budget of only VND6.26 trillion for a whole ministry, it is unclear where does this ministry get the budget to build schools, build classes, to serve the education of the whole people? While the world is moving towards reducing the cost of education for the people, and gradually moving towards subsidizing education, the Communist government is pushing education into the pocket of parents. Public schools are gradually becoming “self-financed“, that is, they sell knowledge to students at a price they set themselves, leaving poor students increasingly deprived of their education.

Currently, public schools are seriously lacking, it is even more difficult to take care of children to enter the 10th grade in the public sector than to go to university. While, attending school is difficult, but after finishing university, a large number of graduates have to throw away their diplomas to run technology motorbike taxis and work as manual laborers to earn a living. As a result, up to now, there is a trend of students dropping out of university exams to choose the path of labor export. This shows that socialist education has created values far behind the common values of capitalist countries.

The fact that the Ministry of Public Security receives an annual budget of up to $4.2 billion, has created an environment for the police forces to be flooded with money. Being a police officer is easy, because if you don’t protect criminals to make money, there are also many useless projects to corrupt. Meanwhile, with a starvation budget of $260 million, teachers cannot live on salary. This causes a large number of students applying to the police schools, but very few applicants to the pedagogical profession.

Many people, because they have missed their step into the education sector and are working as teachers, either have to live a life of poverty, or give up their jobs to work abroad, they have a better future. The education industry has been rejected by the government, so of course, both teachers and students have to flee.

On July 24, Vietnamnet newspaper published an article “Good teachers quit their jobs to work abroad, hoping to change their lives.” The article said that teachers with decades of work, good teachers, even administrators in the education industry, also accept to give up a stable job and go to foreign countries to look for opportunities to change life. This is a tragedy, but an inevitable consequence, when this country is being ruled by a political group that is considering the gun more important than to the pen.

This is also seen as a way of “running away from the enemy“, they run away from this already rotten education. Not only teachers, but also students, they all flee to capitalist countries, working as manual laborers to change their lives.
